What's the Difference?

Often times when offering these medicines we get the same question time and time again, what's the difference? Which is to be expected when the art and practice of alchemy isn't as well known. Or even if the only relationship and reality we have with extracts doesn't venture pass the simple herbal extract. Below you will find a brief description of the main differences between what we offer.

TINCTURE: Tinctures are concentrated herbal extracts made by soaking the bark, berries, leaves (dried or fresh), or roots from one or more plants in alcohol, vegetable glycerin, or vinegar. The solvent pulls out the active ingredients in the plant parts, concentrating them as a liquid. Which in its essence lacks the body or salt of the plant to truly allow it to become a whole medicine. Thus only penetrating the soul and spirit of the individual.

SPAGYRIC: Spagyric is a method which was thought to improve the efficacy of existing medicines by separating them into their primordial elements; spirit(alcohol), soul(essential oil), and body(salt) and then again recombining them. Through this method the medically beneficial ingredients of a compound were separated from the harmful and toxic ones, turning even some poisons into medicines. And so affecting the individual on all levels of mind, body and soul.

SPAGYRIC ESSENCE: A spagyric is allowed to go through multiple rounds of circulation or “deaths and rebirths”. Taking an already exalted medicine and rising it to its highest potential and potency.

ENS TINCTURE: ‘The ‘Primum Ens’ of a thing is its first beginning, its Prima Materia; an invisible and intangible spiritual substance, which may be incorporated in some material vehicle. This extract is the plant in its truest and highest form. Seen as more effective than any other method of extraction. Taking the individual through there own personal initiation into the realm that the material governs.
